Earth Day in Newark
On this day, 42,000 students fulfilled a historic learning mission. Newark’s students “owned” specific street segments near their school, picked up litter, planted 1 million flowers citywide, and fulfilled the mission of a more 
. All adults, companies, civic associations and faith-based institutions were invited to join and help the young people beautify the streets of Newark.
